Lois Nadine Happ was born October 2, 1933 on the family farm in Grant County, Oklahoma, daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Bartlett) Wilson. Lois graduated from Wakita High School.
On November 4, 1951, Lois married the love of her life, Dwight Hollis Happ. This union was blessed with three children, Richard, Steve, and Barbara.
Lois was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with her family was extremely important to her. Along with the busy roles of being a farm wife and mother, she worked as a nurse aide at the Anthony Hospital for many years. Every summer time, she and Dwight made sure to take an extended vacation with their children. After raising her children and gaining the role of grandma her heart was full. She absolutely loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois was a member of the Wakita United Methodist Church, where she served the Lord in many ways. She was a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and many other organizations and clubs. She was always supporting her community.
On May 8, 2020, Lois passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight on August 23, 2004; grandson, Randy Happ; and all of her siblings.
Lois will be deeply missed by her children: Richard Happ and wife, Kitty, Steve Happ, and Barbara Satarawala and husband, Zerxis; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Wettstein and husband, Rustin, Ted Converse and wife, Melissa, and Chris Converse; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
A private family service will be held at the Wakita Cemetery in Wakita, Oklahoma.
Viewing and Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.
Memorials in memory of Lois may be made to the Wakita United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
