Irene L. Adam 1925 ~ 2019



            Irene Lucille Adams was born August 7, 1925 in Washington County, Arkansas, near Hogeye, daughter of Jonah and Retta (Bartholomew) Cantrell.  She was welcomed home by her older brother, Clifford "Pete." At age two her family moved to Strickler, Arkansas.

Sandy Johnson 1951 ~ 2019

Sandy Johnson, a long-time resident of Harper, Kansas, passed away May 26, 2019 at the age of 68.  She was born April 3, 1951 to Art and Marty (Barr) Thorpe in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Growing up in Tulsa, Sandy was involved in Girl Scouts and loved playing softball.  She also competed in several beauty pageants and placed runner-up in the Miss Phillips University Pageant.  She graduated from Memorial High School with the c

Merle L. Walker 1928 ~ 2019

            Merle Lee Walker, son of George Washington and Mary Leona (Whitney) Walker, was born October 11, 1928, on the family farm about 5 miles northeast of Waldron, Kansas.  He passed away on May 21, 2019, at his home in Wichita, at the age of 90 years. 

Le Vona L. Hubbard 1934 ~ 2019

Le Vona L. (Allen) Hubbard was born on the family farm April 9, 1934, Lake township, Attica (Harper County) Kansas.  The family moved to Anthony in the latter forties and Le Vona graduated from Anthony High School with Salutatorian honors May 1952.  She furthered her education at Kansas State University and graduated from a telecommunication school in Omaha, Nebraska, which opened a door for her to move to the east coast.  In 1953, she passed a test that allowed her to choose a job in Washington D.C.
