Harold R. Pearl

Harold Ray Pearl, 87, of Harper, Kansas, passed away on October 23, 2025.

Harold was born and raised in Harper, the son of Cleo and Dorothy (Renollet) Pearl.  After marrying his high school sweetheart, Nita Weber, in 1958, the couple built a life together that spanned 67 years of love and family.

Harold spent much of his career with McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri, near where he and Nita raised their family in St. Charles.  Following his retirement, they returned home to Harper, where Harold continued to serve his community as Harper County Commissioner.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Dorothy Pearl; sister-in-law, Patricia Pearl; and by his brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Gail Pearl.  He is survived by his wife, Nita Pearl (neé Weber); his brother, Carroll Pearl of Slidell, Louisiana; and his four children, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild: son Steven (Tammy), granddaughter Megan (Andrew), and great-granddaughter Margot, and grandson Jack; son Mark, grandsons Nathan (Chandler) and William (Sarai); daughter Jennifer (Marty), grandson August, and granddaughters Veronica and Vivian; and daughter Cathleen; grandchildren Leo, Max, and Lola.

Harold will be remembered for his steady kindness, his strong sense of responsibility, and his deep devotion to his family.

Friends received friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2025 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper.  Funeral Service followed at 10:00 a.m. with Bruce Wilson officiating.  Burial followed at the Harper Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harper County Health Foundation or Harper United Methodist Church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.

A memorial celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pio’s Restaurant, 403 1st Capitol Dr., St. Charles, Missouri 63301
