2025

Michael Joseph McNamara was born April 16th, 1961 in Coffeyville Kansas, his eyes closed in this Earthly World on March 3rd 2025.

Mike grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where he spent time hanging out by the river, Hunting, Fishing, chasing snakes and lizards, and riding bikes.

Mike graduated in Coffeyville, Kansas and went on to serve in the Army National Guard and later moved to Garden City Kansas where he was employed at Iowa Beef Processing.

In 1994 Mike met Debbie and she became his soulmate and love of his life. They made their home and built their life and family in Anthony Kansas. Mike was employed at Prairie belting as a machine operator for 39 years.

Whether you knew him as Mike, husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Redneck Grandpa, friend Motorbike Mike, or Hippie, he was one of the coolest dudes you could know. Camo pants, Hippie and Harley he wore them all inside and out. He had a heart of gold and quick with wit and a smile.

He enjoyed gadgets, pranks (if Mike liked you, there was a good chance you got pranked) and talking to people from all over the world on his ham radio. He rode his Harley like a true biker and rarely missed a toy run or Patriot Guard Mission. He was an avid storm spotter and always enjoyed the weather in the sky. Mike was a hard working man who never hesitated to help anyone  in need, especially his elderly neighbors.

The times and places he will be missed and thought of by those who knew and loved him cannot be measured.

Mike is survived by his wife and soul mate of 30  years Debbie McNamara of Anthony KS, Daughter Christin Tow of Enid Ok, Daughter Crystal Sturdevant (Adam) and two grandsons Alex Sturdevant and Ethan Sturdevant of Greenville SC, Son Dalton McNamara of Wichita ks, Brother Pat McNamara (Gina) of Papillion, Ne, Sister Sharon Ellis (Gary) of Catoosa OK, Sister Kathy McNamara Spohn of McKinney TX, Brother Bill McNamara (Shawna) of Wellington Ks, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family who he was adored by.

Mike is preceded in death by his Father James McNamara and his Mother Roberta McNamara Simpson.

If it was a nice day out, you probably saw Mike riding his motorcycle around town. CVMA 21-3 (Combat Vet Motorcycle Association of Wichita Kansas) will be leading a memorial ride for Mike before his Celebration of Life begins. Any and all motorcycle riders may join his final ride.
