Victoria Ann (Doherty) Blevins

Victoria Ann Doherty Blevins was born September 12, 1942 in Cherokee Oklahoma, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Cox) Doherty Amorita, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on August 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Vicki was raised east of Amorita on a dairy farm and attended grade school at Amorita and graduated from Burlington High School. Vicki and Jerry were married in July 31, 1960 and made their home in Kiowa Kansas.  As their marriage grew, so did their family, adding two children, Cheris (Charles) Coggins and Bob (Kim) Blevins.

The lived the first few years of their marriage in Kiowa, then moved to Wichita, Clearwater, Amorita and back to Kiowa where Vicki helped Jerry run their business.  Throughout her married life she was a dedicated bookkeeper for business (Moore Flowers, Chevy dealership, John Deere, Kiowa Hospital) but her priority was always with Jerry in their business.

Vicki was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, was an avid reader and professional Grandma and Mema. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in sports, school programs and dance competitions.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward and mother, Dorothy; her husband, Jerry, and her brother, Tom.

She will be greatly missed by sister,  brother, and sister in law, Sharon (Melvin) Swafford, Phillip (Anita) Doherty,  Kathy Doherty; her children, Cheris and Charles, Bob and Kim;  her grandchildren, Tyler (Kelsi) Blevins of Kiowa, Blake (Margo) Harris of Vancouver British Columbia, Hope(Brett) Foltz of Manhattan, Kansas,  Christopher (Gabby) Coggins, Derby Kansas, and Caitlin Coggins, Anthony. Kansas, and her eight great grandchildren, Addison and Tucker Blevins, Ava and Mack Foltz, Elle and Walker Harris and Grace and Devon Coggins.

Viewing for Vicki is Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Kiowa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa.  www.lanmanfuneralhome.com.  Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
