Aiden J. Guy

Aiden James Guy, 22, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026. He was born on March 4, 2004 in Harper to James and Eryn (Christensen) Guy.

Aiden graduated from Chaparral High School in 2023. Later that year he opened his own business, BarCo Equipment in Hardtner and has become well known within the ranching community. He was a supporter of many local activities and associations and groups, including Barber County Cattleman's Association, Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Association, Barber County Fair and Northwestern Oklahoma State College Rodeo. He was very involved in the Hardtner community and served as a volunteer Firefighter and helped with the 4th of July festivities. Aiden earned his Eagle Scout in Troop 227, Medicine Lodge. He enjoyed playing old man basketball, shooting billiards, going to the lake, riding his horses, playing guitar with his friends, attending and performing in rodeos to support friends, spending time playing with his niece and nephew, and hunting with his dog, Rocky. Alongside his dad he helped design, build and install a couple of disc golf courses.

He is survived by his parents, James and Eryn Guy; sister, Piper (Parker) Riedel of LaSal, Utah; brothers, Kian (significant other, Jasmine ) Guy of Medicine Lodge and Dace Guy of Wichita; niece, Renlyn Riedel; nephew, Wacey Riedel; grandparents, Alvie and Reta Guy of Medicine Lodge, Cindy Christensen of Medicine Lodge and Janet Gee of Winfield; great-grandfather, Jim Guy of Eudora; girlfriend, Ava Schoenberger of Hays; his dog, Rocky; and a whole crew of uncles, aunts and cousins.

Aiden is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Christensen.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his beautiful life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Hardtner Community Center, Hardtner, Kansas. A memorial plaque will be placed at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
