Phillip T. Allton

Phillip Terry Allton, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the age of 82.

Phill was born the son of Elmer and Lois (Burke) Allton on January 15, 1944 in Anthony, Kansas.

Phill graced this world with his unwavering spirit and powerful devotion to his family and  was a steadfast beacon of love and strength. Phill married the love of his life, Linda Swafford on May 16, 1964 in Danville, Kansas and together they shared 62 wonderful years with one another. His life, spanning 82 vibrant years, was marked by a profound commitment to his family, a relentless dedication to his work where he spent over 35 years working in maintenance at Vulcan Chemicals and an enduring passion for the outdoors.

Phill was an exceptional man who had a knack for fixing everything and anything that came his way, earning him the endearing title of "Jack of all Trades." He spent countless hours in his shed, tinkering away on various projects. A loyal friend and devoted family man, Phill's heart knew no bounds when it came to those he held dear. His love for the outdoors shone brightly in his meticulous care for his lawn and his avid deer hunting adventures. Yet, it was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who held the most special place in his heart, their happiness and well-being his greatest pride and joy.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Allton; son, Jeff (Lisa) Allton; daughter, Lisa Allton; son, Michael (Vanessa) Allton; grandchildren: Megan Allton; Taylen Caudillo; Patyn Elizabeth; Nathan Allton; Mattie Caudillo; Tessa (Gavin) Dunlop; Brandi (Jake) Brown; Allysa Allton; Abigal Allton; Christyn (Sean) Caib; Lacey (Jamie) Wilson; Brittny (Matt) Smith; Marcus Miller; Tanya Karr; Jared Schultz; Kaiden Stroot; Adalyn Jessup; Trenton Jessup; numorous great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Kevin (Debbie) Allton; sister in laws, Kay Allton and Pat Norris.

Phill is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lois Allton, and brother, Bill Allton.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2026 at St. Anthony & St. Rose Catholic Church, 210 North B Street, Wellington, Kansas. Funeral Mass for Phill will follow the rosary and begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Danville, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations in Phill's honor be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 551 N. Hillside St., Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67214. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
